Our proprietary System To Evaluate Ergonomic Risk (STEER) allows companies to determine the presence and severity of ergonomic risk by body part due to job demands. The results of a STEER evaluation allow companies to better manage their ergonomics program, set intervention priorities, rate and track their ergonomic performance, and highlight jobs that are good candidates for restricted or light duty employees.

Our consultants have been involved in all aspects of product development, design, and testing from ballpoint pens to wearable computers. We use advanced and proprietary human interface measurement systems, like our RHEDglove that allows designers to gather real-time pressure and force information while interacting with prototypes and competing products. With over 500 sensors and data sampling rates approaching 30 hz, this data collection device provides more information than any other product available.

Our training programs range from 1 to 2 hours each day for up to 3 days. These programs involve hands-on exercises, biomechanical demonstrations, software demonstrations, and group activities in addition to the lecture format. All of our programs and services are available in either English or Spanish, and we also have the capability of running concurrent English and Spanish sessions. The goal of the training program is to provide our clients with the knowledge, tools, and structure required to manage a corporate ergonomics program.

Our consultants have testified at Public hearings in Washington on behalf of OSHA and the Department of Labor as well as in arbitration hearings related to ergonomics, safety, and efficiency. ErgExperts consultants have provided data in response to Equal Employment and Opportunity Commission (EEOC), age and gender discrimination, labeling and warnings, truth in advertising, product liability, as well as the determination of work-relatedness of injuries and illnesses.
