ErgExperts developed the Red-Handed Ergonomic Data glove (RHEDglove) to provide detailed force and pressure data to product and process designers that is currently not available. The sensing surface of the RHEDglove consist of over 500 sensors on the palmer surface of the glove extended past the wrist crease and includes sensors on the radial aspect of the index and middle fingers and thumb crotch. This allows the RHEDglove to collect data from tri-digital type precision grasps as well as power type grasps. The RHEDglove is also unique in that it does not require calibration as it is done in the factory. The system can be connected to either a laptop or desktop PC and consists of the necessary hardware and software required to collect pressure and force data from the RHEDglove.
