Legal/Expert Testimony Work

Amtrak - provide expert review track maintenance and locomotive personnel positions with respect to cumulative trauma disorders.

Canada Post Corporation (CPC) - conducted study on shoulder stress induced by various types of satchel designs and presented the results to an arbitration board under testimony. Also, conducted lower extremity muscle activity (SEMG) and physiologic analysis of human response to mail delivery using two types of mail transportation systems. Both studies required testimony in arbitration hearings.

Department of Labor (DOL-OSHA) - consulted to OSHA with respect to the cost benefit associated with ergonomic initiatives and the costs to implement and maintain an ergonomics program in support of the proposed ergonomics standard. Wrote job scenarios for various industry groups demonstrating compliance obligations with the proposed ergonomics standard.

General Dynamics - Provide report in support of expert witness deposition on executive productivity on-board corporate aircraft.

Gillette - conducted a study on the effect of pen diameters and writing stress. Results were presented to the American Association of Better Business Bureaus in support of a truth in advertising dispute.

Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company - analyzed cashier workstation to determine the acceptability of performing operations in a seated posture. Provide testimony with respect to report and deposition (Rita Margolin vs. Food Emporium and the Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea company- 99 Civ. 2961, Supreme Court State of New York, White Plains, New York)

Ingersoll-Rand - conduct study on hand and arm forces and palm pressure required to operate a pneumatic hand tool, provide a critical review of deposition materials and provide testimony.

Kohler Corporation - Perform ergonomic risk assessment to determine what percentage of the female population would have both the aerobic capacity and strength to perform job requirements.

Long Island Railroad (LIRR) - Provide expert review of other experts opinion and advise attorney for cross examination, also task reconstruction, objective data collection, analyses, report and deposition on the risk of a back injury for a track worker's manual material handling task.

Metro North Railroad - Provide review of car maintenance operations.

New Jersey Transit - Provide expert review of routine track maintenance, locomotive and revenue related operations. Provide testimony - Lawrence Smith v. NJT HUD-l27h4-98; Victor Lanza v. NJT HUDL4496-5 and Jorge Colon v. NJT Court of Common Pleas, Philadelphia County August Term 1999: No. 2969.

Norfolk & Western Railroad - Provide review of handling forces and provide testimony - In the Circuit Court for the City of Roanoke Virginia County (Mr. Alvin Dale St. Clair vs. Norfolk & Western, Law No. CL97-000704, Trial Date Jan 22-26, 2001)

Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) - Testified during the public hearings in Washington on a panel of experts with respect to the proposed ergonomics standard on behalf of OSHA.

Port Authority of NY/NJ (PATH) - Provide review of maintenance operations.

South Eastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority (SEPTA) - Provide review of routine track maintenance, locomotive operation and revenue related activities.

United Technologies - Provide report in support of an Expert Witness Deposition on executive productivity on-board corporate aircraft

United States Postal Service (USPS) - Provide a critique of other experts' opinions and report on ergonomic hazards and abatement on various pieces of mail sortation equipment.
